1. Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly and information generated by your use of the platform.

• Account information. Name, email address, password (hashed), phone number, country, and the role you select (Artist, Client, Manager).
• Profile data. For artists: bio, photos, videos, genre, services, pricing, availability, and verification documents. For clients: event history and preferences.
• Booking data. Event details, booking requests, confirmations, messages exchanged between users, and performance confirmations.
• Payment data. Transaction records, refund history, and payout information. We do not store full card numbers — payment processing is handled by Cashfree and PayPal.
• Usage data. Pages visited, search queries, features used, device type, browser, and approximate location derived from IP address.
• Communications. Emails, support tickets, and dispute records submitted to us.

2. How we use your information

• Provide the service. Match artists with clients, process bookings, manage escrow, and release payments.
• Process payments. Pass necessary transaction data to Cashfree or PayPal to complete bookings and payouts.
• Prevent fraud. Detect unusual activity, verify identities, and protect both artists and clients from bad actors.
• Communicate with you. Send booking confirmations, payment receipts, platform updates, and support responses. You can manage notification preferences in your account settings.
• Improve the platform. Analyse usage patterns to fix issues, develop new features, and improve search and discovery.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data. Full stop.

• With other users. When you book or are booked, we share the information necessary to complete that transaction — for example, an artist's contact details after a booking is confirmed, or a client's event details with a booked artist.
• With payment processors. Cashfree and PayPal receive the data required to process transactions. Their own privacy policies apply to how they handle that data.
• For legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
• Service providers. We use a small number of trusted third-party services (hosting, email delivery, analytics) under strict data processing agreements.

4. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we begin the purge process immediately and complete it within 90 days. Some data may be retained longer where required by law — for example, financial transaction records for tax compliance purposes. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

5. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request corrections to inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format (data portability).
• Object to or restrict certain types of processing.

6. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies:

• Essential cookies. Required for authentication and to keep you logged in. Without these, the platform cannot function.
• Analytics cookies. Help us understand how the platform is being used so we can improve it. Data is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not share cookie data with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. International transfers

idlidu is operated from India by Saptarang Ventures (OPC) Private Limited. If you access the platform from outside India, your data may be transferred to and processed in India or other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for all international transfers.

8. Security

All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest. Payment processing is PCI DSS compliant through our gateway partners. We offer multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all accounts and encourage its use. Our team undergoes regular security training, and we conduct periodic security reviews of our infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but we take every reasonable precaution to protect your data.

9. Children

idlidu is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered an account, please contact us at privacy@idlidu.com and we will remove the account promptly.
