Refund Policy
Effective 1 April 2026
1. How Payments Work
Every booking on idlidu is backed by an escrow model. When a client confirms a booking, their payment is held securely in escrow — not passed directly to the artist. The funds remain in escrow until the performance is complete and confirmed by both parties. This means that if something goes wrong before an event takes place, the money is always recoverable. No artist receives payment until the commitment has been fulfilled.
2. Client Cancellations
We understand that plans change. If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, the refund amount depends on how far in advance you notify us. Artists depend on confirmed dates — the closer to the event, the more impact a cancellation has on their livelihood.
More than 7 days before the event
Full refund. No questions asked.
3–7 days before the event
50% refund. The remaining 50% compensates the artist for holding the date and likely declining other work.
Less than 72 hours before the event
No refund. At this stage, the artist has reserved the date, prepared for the performance, and turned down other opportunities. However, if the artist independently confirms the cancellation, a full refund will be issued to you regardless of timing.
3. Artist Cancellations
If an artist cancels a confirmed booking for any reason, the client receives a full refund in all cases — no exceptions. If the cancellation happens within 48 hours of the event, our team will proactively work to source an alternative artist of equivalent genre and calibre at no extra cost to the client. If we are unable to find a suitable replacement in time, the full refund is still guaranteed. We will keep you updated throughout the process so you can make alternative arrangements with confidence.
4. Artist No-Show
If a confirmed artist does not appear at the event and has given no prior notice, this is treated as a no-show. You will receive a full refund once the no-show is confirmed through our support process. Where possible, our team will also attempt to find an emergency replacement artist if the event is still in progress or the need is still immediate. Artists with repeated no-shows face permanent removal from the platform.
5. Dispute-Based Refunds
If you believe a performance did not meet the terms of the agreed booking — for example, a significantly shorter set, a substitute performer not agreed in advance, or a major departure from what was contracted — you may raise a dispute through the platform. Our resolution team will review the evidence and documentation submitted by both parties and determine the appropriate outcome. Decisions made by the resolution team are final. All bookings, agreements, and communications made through the platform are considered part of the evidence record.
6. Courses & Workshops
Refund terms for digital learning products differ from live booking refunds. Please review these carefully before purchasing.
Recorded courses
Eligible for a full refund within 48 hours of purchase, provided you have watched less than 30% of the course content. Once either threshold is crossed, the purchase is non-refundable.
Live workshops
A full refund is available only if the artist or instructor cancels the session before it begins. Non-attendance by the student does not qualify for a refund. If you are unable to attend, please contact support@idlidu.com to discuss options.
7. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days and returned to your original payment method — card, bank account, or digital wallet. International transfers may take additional time depending on your bank or payment provider. If you have not received your refund within 10 business days of approval, contact us with your booking reference at support@idlidu.com and we will investigate promptly.
