We built idlidu because we believe the world's performance artists deserve a better way to find work, get paid fairly, and grow their careers. Today, I am excited to announce a feature that lets every member of our community help us grow — and earn real money while doing it.
The idlidu Referral Program is now live.
Every user — whether you are an artist, a client, or a manager — gets a unique referral code. Share it with friends, colleagues, or anyone you think would benefit from the platform. When they sign up and start transacting, you earn.
How It Works
The process is straightforward. Go to your Dashboard, click on Referrals in the sidebar, and generate your unique referral code. You will see a shareable link that looks like this: www.idlidu.com/register?ref=YOURCODE. You can copy this link and share it anywhere — over email, WhatsApp, Instagram, or in person. You can also invite people directly by entering their email address on the referral page.
When someone signs up using your link, they are permanently linked to your account as your referral. There is no expiry on this relationship — it is a lifetime connection.
What You Earn
There are two earning tracks depending on who you refer:
- Refer an Artist: When a referred artist completes a booking on idlidu, you earn 5 percent of their net earnings from that booking. This is deducted from the artist's share, not added as an extra charge to the client.
- Refer a Client: When a referred client's booking is completed, you earn 10 percent of the platform fee that idlidu charges on that booking. This comes out of our commission, not from the artist or client.
These earnings are tracked automatically and added to your referral balance, which is paid out through the same payout system we use for artist earnings.
Your Referral Dashboard
The Referrals page in your dashboard gives you complete visibility into your referral activity. You can see your total referrals, how many are active (meaning they have completed at least one booking), your cumulative earnings, and your pending payout balance. There is also a detailed table showing each referred user, their role, when they joined, and exactly how much you have earned from them.
Why We Built This
idlidu is a marketplace, and marketplaces thrive when there are more great artists to discover and more clients looking for talent. The referral program is designed to be generous enough to be worth your time, but simple enough that you do not need to think about it. Share your link, and the platform handles the rest.
Getting Started
If you already have an idlidu account, go to your Dashboard and click Referrals. Generate your code, grab your link, and start sharing. Every new artist who joins makes the platform more valuable for clients, and every new client means more opportunities for artists. The referral program turns that virtuous cycle into something tangible.
