Step 1: Create Your Account

Sign up using your Google account, Facebook account, or email and password. It takes less than a minute. Select the Client role during onboarding, which gives you access to search, bookings, casting calls, the event planner, and messaging features.

Step 2: Search and Discover Artists

The search bar on idlidu understands natural language. You can type queries like "acoustic guitarist in Pune under 15000 for a wedding," and the platform extracts the relevant filters automatically, showing you artists that match your location, budget, category, and event type. Extracted filters appear as badges above the results so you can see exactly how your query was interpreted and adjust if needed.

You can also browse by category. The categories page shows you every type of performer on the platform, from singers and dancers to magicians, DJs, bands, poets, circus artists, and more. The filter panel lets you narrow results by location, price range, minimum rating, verification level, availability on your event date, and whether the artist offers online or in-person services.

Step 3: Review Artist Profiles

Click on any artist to explore their full profile. The portfolio section shows photos, videos, and audio from past performances. The services section lists exactly what they offer, with detailed descriptions and pricing for each package. The reviews section is where past clients share their honest experiences — pay attention to reviews that mention events similar to yours. Check the verification badge: Bronze, Silver, or Gold verification levels indicate increasing degrees of professional vetting.

Step 4: Book an Artist

Select the service and package that fits your event. Choose your preferred date and time from the availability calendar. Payment is processed through Cashfree, a PCI DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateway. You can pay using credit or debit cards, UPI, net banking, or wallets. Your payment is held in escrow, meaning the artist does not receive the funds until the service is delivered.

Step 5: Coordinate with Your Artist

After booking, a dedicated chat opens between you and the artist. Use this to discuss venue address, performance timing, setlist preferences, dress code, special requests, equipment requirements, and any logistics. Keep all communication within the platform so there is a documented record of every discussion and agreement. A performance agreement is auto-generated as a PDF contract for your booking.

Step 6: Enjoy the Performance

On the day of your event, the artist arrives and performs as agreed. If you have communicated well during the booking phase, this is the part where everything comes together beautifully.

After the event, take a few minutes to leave a review.
