February 2026 Update — Event Pages, Message Links, and Direct Manager Signup

We fixed event detail pages crashing for multi-artist events, made artist names clickable in messages, and added a direct signup option for talent managers.

This update brings three improvements based on feedback from early users: a critical fix for event detail pages, better navigation in messages, and a smoother onboarding experience for talent managers.

Event Detail Pages Now Work with Assigned Bookings

If you are a client organising a multi-artist event, you may have noticed that your event detail page showed a "Something went wrong" error when you had bookings assigned to performer slots. This was caused by a technical issue where price formatting was not working correctly on the page.

This is now fixed. Event detail pages load reliably, display prices in your chosen currency, and let you manage all your performer slots as expected.

Artist Names Are Clickable in Messages

When you open a conversation in your Messages dashboard, the name of the person you are chatting with now links directly to their artist profile. If you are a client discussing a booking, you can click the artist's name to quickly review their portfolio, services, and reviews without leaving the messages page and searching for them again.

If the other person is not an artist (for example, if you are an artist messaging a client), their name displays as plain text since there is no public profile to link to.

Direct Manager Signup

Previously, talent managers had to register as either an "Artist" or a "Client" and then wait for an artist to invite them. This was confusing — if you are a manager, you are neither of those things, and the initial dashboard made no sense for your role.

Now, the registration page has three options:

  • An Artist — for performers who want to showcase their talent and get booked
  • Hiring Talent — for clients looking to find and book artists
  • A Manager — for talent managers who manage artist profiles and bookings

When you sign up as a Manager, you go straight to the manager dashboard. From there, artists can invite you to manage their profiles, and you can accept invitations and start working immediately. No more awkward intermediate steps.

This also works with Google and Facebook sign-up. Select "A Manager" before clicking the OAuth button, and your account will be created with the correct role.

These changes are live now. If you are already using idlidu as an artist, client, or manager, your account and data are unchanged.
